On your first day in Nepal, you will fly to Kathmandu and be greeted with beautiful views of the Himalayas and modern valley vibe. A representative from Magnificent Himalayan Treks & Expedition will be there to assist you with customs and help you get settled into your hotel. After that, you can explore some of Kathmandu's cultural highlights such as temples, palaces and museums. In the evening, you can head to Thamel for a meal and to experience the local Nepali cuisine. A guide will be provided to help you navigate the city and adapt to the local culture.

The Langtang Valley Trek starting point is easily accessible via a 7-8 hour bus journey from Kathmandu. The Langtang  journey is not only convenient but also offers scenic views of the Trisuli River, white water rafters tackling the rapids and the majestic Himalayan mountain ranges. Along the way, you will pass through Trisuli Bazaar, where you will be greeted by the Manaslu, Ganesh, Jugal Himal and Langtang ranges. The road becomes a bit bumpy after Trisuli Bazaar, so it's best to be prepared. After a journey of around 50km/31miles to Dhunche and another 15km/9miles to Syabrubesi, you will stop for the night before starting the trek to langtang proper the following day.

SyabruBesi to Lama Hotel is the first leg of the Langtang Valley trek, the route starts from SyabruBesi and ends in Lama Hotel. The route follows the Langtang Khola (river) and passes through beautiful rhododendron and oak forests, traditional Tamang villages and offers a great opportunity to interact with the local people. The trail is moderate with gradual climbing, providing beautiful views of the Langtang Lirung, a 7,227 meter (23,711 ft) peak, and other surrounding peaks. After the trek, you will reach the Lama Hotel, a small village and campsite located at an altitude of 2,480 meters (7,830 ft), where you will spend the night before continuing on the Langtang Valley Trek next day.

The Langtang Valley Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village takes you through a forested area, with occasional glimpses of Langtang Lirung, a mountain, between the trees. The route climbs to Ghora Tabela which is a Nepal Army post and has no permanent inhabitants. The trail continues to climb gently and passes through a few temporary settlements used by herders who graze their livestock in the high pastures during the summer. The trek to Langtang also passes through the area affected by the 2015 earthquake, where Langtang village, once a hub for tourism, is now a huge rock field. The trek is a way to support the survivors of the area and the local community.

After taking in the views, you will retrace your steps back to Kyanjin Gompa.

Retracing your steps back to Lama Hotel after a challenging trek, you will follow the same route  that you took on the previous days, crossing streams and hiking through forests. Langtang Trek to the Langtang National Park requires an initial drive to Syabrubesi, Dunche as the starting point. Although public buses are a possibility from Kathmandu however, they tend to be slow and unpredictable.

A private vehicle or jeep is advised for a more comfortable and more efficient trip. It's important to remember that leaving the park is required to retrace the exact route unless you choose an arduous trek up the Gosainkunda and then back through Helambu to Kathmandu and back, which is an exciting adventure for the avid trekker.
